#Repost @nemethoh - founder of @emblemathletic ・・・ It’s been a week of entrepreneur highs and lows. I’ve been lucky to have some really ‘cool’ jobs - audio/visual project manager in NYC with my Rockefeller Plaza office - helicopter engineer at Sikorsky - and then all of my nanotechnology adventures with Zyvex and OCSiAl... I’ve had some friends openly question my choice to own a ‘t-shirt company’ - my favorite was ‘you could be working on something much more challenging’ I’m not here for the challenge (even though there’s plenty of it) - I’ve always loved making apparel for others - starting all the way back with shirts for my parent’s business when I was growing up. Now that it’s my work hasn’t ruined the fun. This week @emblemathletic shipped out some awesome football jerseys, really awesome unit shirts for 2-13 cavalry and dozens of teachers received their @pos_project shirts. We also had a big disaster of an order stuck in Boston - tested every bit of entrepreneur grit and problem solving that I’ve got. Negotiating with airport cargo workers at midnight in Boston wasn’t what I had planned for when I started my day and put on my Emblem polo. I’d been there for a few hours until the manager referred to me as ‘the driver for this company’ - and I was proud to tell him that I was the owner (and to please put my items on my truck) We’ve got big plans and goals for the future - definitely a lot more than a ‘t-shirt company.’ This week was a nice reminder to me that it won’t be easy - but at the very least it will be a fun adventure. Definitely the best ‘job’ I’ve had. #startuplife #614startups #entrepreneurlife #entrepreneur #bestjobever #militaryentrepreneur #columbusohio #columbussmallbusiness #customapparel #tshirtcompany
